Koko Band is composed of Samuel Juma, George Ooko, Jagasow Owuor, Maurice Odour and Maina Gaitho.
Living in the Baba Dogo area in Nairobi, their love for music and their shared experiences in the tough baba Dogo environment brought them together.
'Engolo' (The Sun) is sung in Maasai and Kiswahili and was inspired by watching the Maasai herdsman bring their cattle to the built environment of Baba Dogo desperately searching for fresh pastures.
